Memorial Cross (GVI)

Flag_of_New_ZealandThis is the Memorial Cross (GVI) for New Zealand, issued during WW2 to the surviving spouse or mother of the deceased soldier. It’s sometimes called the “Mother’s Cross” for this reason. This one is unnamed and stamped “sterling” on the reverse. There is some evidence of name removal on the rear.
