Enfield 303 British Stripper Clips & Battlepack

Posted in Ammunition with tags , , , , on November 24, 2016 by The Dude

Flag_of_CanadaI have a Canadian made Enfield No4 MkI* rifle here. These are the stripper clips and ammunition for this rifle. Additionally you can see a battle pack of 48 rounds produced by the Dominion Industries Company, part of Canadian Industries Ltd. The ammunition in the battlepack is all VIIz ball, made in 1943. The clips show both brass rounds and steel, made in 1944 and 1945 by the same company.

Italian Carcano 6.5×52 Stripper Clips

Flag_of_Italy_(1861-1946)Another small addition to my ammunition stock. These are stripper clips in Carcano 6.5×52 intended for the Carcano M91/41 service rifle as well as the Carcano M38 and other small arms. These fit this rifle here. Interesting side note, Lee Harvey Oswald put two of these into JFK in November 1963.

Flag_of_the_NSDAP_(1920–1945).svgA modest little item here, this is a stripper clip for the 7.92×33 “Kurz” cartridge used in the MP-43/44 assault rifle. Really tough to find this ammo now and especially in the clip. Thanks Andrew!

Arisaka 7.7mm Ammunition

Flag_of_Japan.svgA pretty simple item here, a clip of Arisaka 7.7mm rifle ammunition. This was used in the Arisaka Type-99 rifle here. Since I just obtained one of these rifles I was happy to get hold of some representative ammo for it.

MP28/II Magazine Pouch

Flag_of_the_NSDAP_(1920–1945).svgA few weeks back I hooked an MP28/II submachine pistol. Just after that I was lucky enough to find a magazine pouch produced for the same weapon. When I accumulate these things I do my best to get the appropriate pouches, sling, magazines and bayonets for them all. It’s part of the joy of having OCD. This pouch is marked Otto Sindel, Berlin, 1935.

K43 Magazine

Flag_of_the_NSDAP_(1920–1945).svgThis is a late war production K43 marked magazine for the K43 semi-automatic main battle rifle. The manufacturer is gcb (Grohmann und Sohn Ad, Metallwarenfabrik, Würbenthal/Süd). The magazine has the two correct WaAB92 stamps along the lower part of the body as well as the simplified two ridge floor plate. This is for use on my K43 rebuild here.

Flag_of_the_NSDAP_(1920–1945).svgHere is a great pair of 1944 dated K43 magazine pouches. These are stamped ROS44 on the inside the left pouch and correspond to Type 11a on Claus Espeholt’s site. These are made from rubberised canvas. The ros code is presumed to be E.G.Leuner, Bautzen.
